Jacob's starting to become mobile. He's figured out how to roll over. We put him on his tummy under his little play gym and he rolls over! It's so cute because it takes so much effort and when he finally turns over, he looks like a deer in headlights.

Jacob smiled deliberately for the first time on Thanksgiving Day. Daddy was making a silly face, and Jacob's cute little lips widened to a huge grin! It was so adorable.. brought tears to our eyes.

Today we made prints of Jacob's feet and hands. The feet were pretty easy, but the hands were virtually impossible. Didn't think it would be so difficult to open up a baby's hands. But he just keeps them balled up in such a tight little fist. After about an hour and lots of paint on both Mom and Dad, we finally got some good prints to put in a little frame.

Here's a picture of Jacob in his new room. Grandma bought the crib, and Grammie bought the bedding. The paintings above him were done by Gramps when he was just 12 years old. He hasn't spent the night in his crib yet because he's still in his bassinet in our room. But he's taken quite a few naps in there already. And he's filling up his diaper genie like a champ.

It's so wonderful to watch Daddy with Baby. He's just so good with him.. a natural at all the baby stuff. In fact, Daddy's been the only one changing his diapers so far.
